From the Ground Up: Developing organic communities

Sustainable agriculture technologies and organic fertilizer production technologies was shared to at least 600 farmers in seven rice producing cities/municipalities across the country under the OFSP Phase 1. Partnerships were also forged among local government units, non-government organizations, local farmers’ organizations, DA units and the private sector for collective initiatives promoting sustainable agriculture at the local level.

From agrarian reform to organic farming PDF Print E-mail

ACTIVIST Jaime Tadeo is not exactly picking one advocacy over another. But lately, this staunch agrarian reform advocate is making his presence felt in promoting organic farming in the face of yet another looming rice crisis.

“The redistribution of land alone will not solve the multifaceted problems of Filipino farmers. Government support to strengthen Philippine agriculture is also much needed,” he said. Read more here.
