Alaminos, chosen as one of six pilot areas in Luzon for organic farming program |

November 17, 2008 - ALAMINOS CITY, Nov. 17 — Organic farming was given a big boost in Alaminos when it was chosen as among six pilot cities and municipalities in Luzon by the Department of Agriculture under Phase 1 of its Organic Fields Support Program (OFSP). The launching of the program, supported by the advocacy campaign “Go Organic”, was attended by Mayor Hernani Braganza and top officials of the DA in Region 1. “We are for organic farming because it’s the key to sustainable agriculture which also means healthy food for the family, sound environment and better yield for the farmers,” Braganza said.
