Stakeholders want unified organic farming bill passed |

Players in the organic farming industry are seeking to fast track the passage of a unified bill pending in the legislature to strengthen the sector, which is programmed by the Department of Agriculture (DA) to cover 10 percent of all rice farms in the country. This comes in the heels of criticisms within the industry that organic agriculture should be intensified through the National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB) comprised of representatives of several departments and the private stakeholders.
